New Sun & Moon Pokemon!

Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon – New Pokemon English details.

Tapu Koko

Tapu_KokoCategory: Land Spirit Pokémon
Type: Electric/Fairy
Height: 5′11″
Weight: 45.2 lbs.
Ability: Electric Surge

Tapu Koko is a special Pokémon that protects the area where it lives. It’s called the guardian deity of Melemele Island, one of the islands of the Alola region. Although it’s known as a guardian deity, it’s a surprisingly fickle Pokémon, and will not necessarily come to your aid if you need help.

Tapukoko ArtDespite that, this Pokémon has a strong sense of curiosity. If it becomes interested in a person or in other Pokémon, it may come to play or battle with them.

Tapu Koko’s Ability is Electric Surge, an Ability never before seen in a Pokémon. Electric Surge fills the field around the Pokémon’s feet with electricity when it appears, raising the power of any Electric-type moves for Pokémon on the ground and preventing any Pokémon from falling asleep. Tapu Koko can learn a new move called Nature’s Madness, which slams into an opponent and reduces that Pokémon’s HP by half!

Charjabug

CharjabugCategory: Battery Pokémon
Type: Bug/Electric
Height: 1′08″
Weight: 23.1 lbs.
Ability: Battery

Charjabug stays perfectly still in preparation for Evolution, and often spends time with its body half-buried in the earth. Charjabug is able to store up electricity. It can store enough power to run a household for a whole day. The power it stores can be provided to other Pokémon, so it can also serve as a battery!

Charjabug has the Battery Ability, an Ability not seen before in any other Pokémon. The Battery Ability allows it to raise the power of allies’ special moves.

Vikavolt

VikavoltCategory: Stag Beetle Pokémon
Type: Bug/Electric
Height: 4′11″
Weight: 99.2 lbs.
Ability: Levitate

Vikavolt is like a fortress that zooms through the forest, firing a beam of electricity from its mouth. Its huge jaws control the electricity it blasts out.

Vikavolt is adept at acrobatic flight maneuvers like tailspins and sharp turns. It can fly at high speeds even as it weaves its way through the complicated tangle of branches in the forest.

Vikavolt clasps Charjabug with its legs and uses it as an extra battery. Even if a battle drags on, it can use the electric power from Charjabug to continue firing off powerful moves. When Vikavolt is engaged in a fierce aerial fight, it releases Charjabug to make itself lighter and increase its mobility.

Bruxish

BruxishCategory: Gnash Teeth Pokémon
Type: Water/Psychic
Height: 2′11″
Weight: 41.9 lbs.
Abilities: Dazzling / Strong Jaw

Bruxish emits a strong psychic power from the protuberance on its head. When its opponents are bathed in this power, they’re stricken with terrible headaches and fall unconscious. As it emits its psychic power, it grinds its teeth loudly. When nearby Pokémon hear the sound of Bruxish’s teeth gnashing, they sense danger and flee immediately.

In the Alola region, lifeguards let Bruxish remain in their area to prevent dangerous Water-type Pokémon from gathering there.

Bruxish digs holes in the seafloor, leaving just the protuberance on its head exposed, while emitting a low level of psychic power. This serves as radar, so when it detects prey, it can leap to the attack!

Bruxish can have the new Ability Dazzling, which no other Pokémon has ever had. The Dazzling Ability prevents opponents from using priority moves that normally strike first.

Cutiefly

CutieflyCategory: Bee Fly Pokémon
Type: Bug/Fairy
Height: 0′04″
Weight: 0.4 lbs.
Abilities: Honey Gather / Shield Dust

Cutiefly can detect the auras of living things, including people, Pokémon, and plants. They search out flowers by the color and brightness of their auras and then gather their nectar and pollen.

When living creatures are excited, it seems that their auras resemble those of flowers in full bloom. As a result, these Pokémon tend to gather near people or Pokémon feeling particularly happy or sad.

Cutiefly mostly live in the fields and meadows on the outskirts of cities, but they sometimes appear in towns and even inside buildings, drawn in by the emotions of the living beings of the community.

Drampa

DrampaCategory: Placid Pokémon
Type: Normal/Dragon
Height: 9′10″
Weight: 407.9 lbs.
Abilities: Berserk / Sap Sipper

Drampa are dragons that live alone in the mountains 10,000 feet above sea level. Since they can’t obtain the Berries they feed on at that range, they descend to the base of the mountains at dawn every day. Drampa love communicating with people and Pokémon.

Drampa are especially gentle with children and often appear at schools and parks where children gather.

While Drampa is usually a very gentle Pokémon, it can fly into a rage if a child it cares for is hurt in some way. The Dragon Breath move that it fires off at such times is powerful enough to blow down buildings!

Drampa can have the Berserk Ability, an Ability that no other Pokémon has ever had. With the Berserk Ability, this Pokémon’s Sp. Atk will go up by 1 when its HP drops below half.

Togedemaru

TogedemaruCategory: Roly-Poly Pokémon
Type: Electric/Steel
Height: 1′00″
Weight: 7.3 lbs.
Abilities: Iron Barbs / Lightning Rod

Togedemaru is the Roly-Poly Pokémon that gathers electricity and stores it. The long needle that grows from the back of its head works as a lightning rod to attract electricity. With this reservoir of electrical energy, Togedemaru is able to release powerful Electric-type attacks!

Covering its body is a pattern of fur with strands like needles. That means that Togedemaru can roll itself up, and presto—it’s a ball of prickles!

Some skilled Trainers have developed the strategy of getting other Pokémon to unleash Electric-type attacks on Togedemaru, which absorbs their power to use in a response attack!

On days when lightning strikes, you can sometimes see Togedemaru gather and bristle up their needles, waiting to be struck by lightning.

Komala

Komala_jpg_jpgcopyCategory: Drowsing Pokémon
Type: Normal
Height: 1′04″
Weight: 43.9 lbs.
Ability: Comatose

No one has ever seen a Komala awake. It eats, travels, and even battles while sound asleep! Its saliva can be used as medicine for the sick or sleepless, according to ancient people. They say if you take a small amount of the saliva remaining after it eats leaves, water the saliva down, and drink it, you’ll be able to sleep well.

Komala clings to a log pillow that its parents have given to it. Once it has grasped this log, it almost never releases it. If it does lose hold of its log, the Pokémon will be unable to sleep well and will thrash about wildly. Apparently it will sometimes cling to the arm of a Trainer it trusts.

Komala has the Comatose Ability, a new Ability that no other Pokémon has ever had until now. This Ability keeps it perpetually in a drowsing state, which prevents it from getting any other status conditions.

The ever-sleeping Komala’s expression sometimes changes, as if has awareness of its surroundings and the talking of people nearby. But it appears that these changes in expression are actually just a result of the dreams it’s experiencing.

Rockruff

Rockruff_jpg_jpgcopyCategory: Puppy Pokémon
Type: Rock
Height: 1′08″
Weight: 20.3 lbs.
Ability: Keen Eye / Vital Spirit

Rockruff is a sociable Pokémon, but as it grows, its disposition gets wilder. If it begins to howl when the sun goes down, that is proof that it’s close to evolving. It’s said that it leaves its Trainer’s side to evolve and returns again when fully evolved.

Rockruff stands bravely in battle, even when it’s taking damage. Although an opponent may be stronger than Rockruff, the Puppy Pokémon is so persistent, it keeps going until it outlasts its foe and gets the win!

Bite is a good move for Rockruff. It deals damage by biting an opponent with its sharp teeth. This may make the target flinch.

Rockruff greet others by rubbing the rocks around their necks against the other. This grating greeting is an expression of fondness, but a Trainer may find that love hurts.

Zygarde Core and Cells

Zygarde_Core_CellThe Cores and Cells That Make Up Zygarde

Each of Zygarde’s forms are made by gathering together its cell-like components called Cores and Cells. Neither Cores nor Cells have the power to battle on their own as individuals. Only when gathered together can they take action—as Zygarde.

Zygarde Core

Cores are cell-like components that make up Zygarde, and only a small number of them exist. Cores serve as brains, and by gathering Cells, they can create Zygarde’s different forms. Cores have their own wills and sometimes act on their own.

Zygarde’s Cells

Cells make up the parts of Zygarde other than its brain. There are many more Cells than there are Cores, and they exist all around the Alola region. Cells do not possess wills of their own. They act in accordance with the orders of a Core.

Zygarde 10% Forme

Zygarde_10percentCategory: Order Pokémon
Type: Dragon/Ground
Height: 3′11″
Weight: 73.9 lbs.
Abilities: Aura Break / Power Construct

When an emergency occurs, this form can take action separately from Zygarde 50% Forme, which comprises its main body. It has just a single Core performing the functions of its brain, so it can only maintain this form for a short period of time.

During battle, it overwhelms foes with its sharp fangs. When running all out, its speed exceeds 60 mph.

Thousand Arrows is a move that only Zygarde can learn. It’s a Ground-type move, but it can do damage even to Flying types and Pokémon with the Levitate Ability. After being hit by this move, Flying types and Pokémon with the Levitate Ability will also continue to take damage from other Ground-type moves used in subsequent turns.

Thousand Waves is also a move that only Zygarde can learn. This move makes it impossible for an opponent to flee or be swapped out of battle.

Zygarde 50% Forme

Zygarde__50percentCategory: Order Pokémon
Type: Dragon/Ground
Height: 16′05″
Weight: 672.4 lbs.
Abilities: Aura Break / Power Construct

Zygarde monitors the Pokémon ecosystem to ensure that it’s not disrupted. Zygarde believes it has a duty to protect the ecosystem. While the power it possesses is overwhelming, this Forme contains only 50% of Zygarde’s cells. Out in the world, an equal amount of power waits to be brought together.

A Zygarde 10% or Zygarde 50% with the Power Construct Ability will be able to change forms into its Complete Forme during battle if its HP drops below half.

Zygarde Complete Forme

Zygarde_100percentCategory: Order Pokémon
Type: Dragon/Ground
Height: 14′09″
Weight: 1,344.8 lbs.
Abilities: Power Construct

Zygarde’s completed form is specialized for battle, enabling Zygarde to fight with its full power and fulfill its duty of protecting the Pokémon ecosystem.

Core Enforcer is a move that only Zygarde can learn, and it can erase the Abilities of any opponents that have already used a move on the same turn that it’s used.

Its wings and tail each have their own Core. Each Core serves as a brain and can make decisions and act independently.

The Rite of the Island Challenge

TrialOne aspect of the unique culture that has developed in the Alola region is the island challenge, an adventurous rite that involves traveling through each of the four islands. This event helps young people grow into fine Pokemon Trainers. As the main character of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, you yourself are destined to attempt this island challenge.

Island Challenge Trials – To complete the island challenge, young trial-goers must overcome the trials in store on each of the four islands. These trials are not limited to battling with Pokemon. They take a variety of forms, such as finding items or completing tests of knowledge. You will not be able to accomplish them with ordinary methods!

Totem Pokemon – At the end of each trial, a mighty Pokemon known as a Totem Pokemon will be waiting. A Totem Pokemon is much larger than others of its species, and its body is enveloped in a special aura.

Sophisticated Combos in SOS Battles – When Totem Pokemon battle, they summon ally Pokemon to join them. With the support of these allies, the Totem Pokemon become even more powerful. And it seems that Pokemon other than Totem Pokemon sometimes call on allies to aid them.

Grand Trials – The final trial on each island is called the grand trial. It is a Pokemon battle against the kahuna who leads that island. If a trial-goer succeeds in clearing this grand trial, he or she will be publicly recognized as having cleared all of the island’s trials and can move on to the next island.

Alola

Trial Captains

Each trial has a captain, whose role is to provide guidance to trial-goers. All of the captains are Trainers who undertook trials in their own island challenge a few years earlier.

Lana is a captain who is an expert with Water-type Pokemon. She is dedicated to her family and is a reliable older sister who watches over her younger sisters. Captain Mallow is an expert with Grass-type Pokemon. She loves cooking, but it seems that sometimes her taste is a bit particular… Specializing in Electric-type Pokemon, Captain Sophocles is good with mechanics and has invented various machines.Kiawe is a captain whose expertise is in Fire-type Pokemon. Together with his Marowak, he studies the traditional dances that have been passed down in the Alola region.

(Note: Since Kiawe is a Fire-type expert who has a Marowak, it’s possible there will be an Alolan Marowak that’s Fire-type.)

Z-Moves

Z Move PikachuA new element has been introduced into the Pokemon battles in Pokemon Sun andPokemon Moon: Z-Moves. Z-Moves are moves of great power that can only be used once per battle. When the Trainer and Pokemon’s wishes resonate with each other, and both release their full power together—the result is the explosive force of a Z-Move! All Pokemon can use Z-Moves to perform mightily in battle!

Key Items for Z-Moves – The Z-Ring fits on a Trainer’s arm, and Z-Crystals are set into it. If a Pokemon holds the same variety of Z-Crystal, the two will be able to resonate with one another. Crystals that correspond to each Pokemon type have been found in the Alola region.

Intense Battles with Z-Moves – There are two conditions for performing Z-Moves: a Pokemon must learn a move of the same type as a Z-Crystal, and it must be holding the corresponding Z-Crystal. When you see these moves in action in the game, each overwhelmingly powerful move will be on full display, filling the entire screen!

Z BraceletExperience the Z-Ring for Real on Your Own Arm! – Tomy International will be releasing a Z-Ring item for sale, timed to match up with the launch of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. When a player uses a Z-Move in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, his or her real-life Z-Ring will light up, vibrate, and play sounds to go along with the video and sounds in the game. With this new experience, players will feel the force of these overwhelming Z-Moves with even more realism! Please look forward to more details about the Z-Ring to come from Tomy International.

Move Forward with Poke Ride

Alola RideOne aspect of the culture in the Alola region is something known as Poke Ride, in which certain Pokemon help people get to places they wouldn’t be able to reach by using human strength alone. These Pokemon don’t join your team, but you can call on them anytime to receive their help. This practice is typical of the way of life in Alola, where humans and Pokemon are so closely bound together.

Alolan Exeggutor

Alola ExeggutorCoconut Pokemon
Type: Grass/Dragon
Height: 35’09”
Weight: 916.2 lbs.
Ability: Frisk

The environment of the Alola region, where strong sunlight pours down all year round, brought about this change in Exeggutor’s form. The people of Alola boast that the Alolan Exeggutor is the true form of Exeggutor.

Unlike other Exeggutor, the Alolan Exeggutor has a fourth head—on its tail! This fourth head controls the tail independently and can take on opponents to the rear that can’t be reached by the main heads’ attacks.

This Pokemon excels at whipping its long neck like a lash to attack with its hard heads. But that neck can sometimes become a weakness…

Alolan Vulpix

Alola VulpixFox Pokemon
Type: Ice
Height: 2’00”
Weight: 21.8 lbs.
Ability: Snow Cloak

It is said that Vulpix came to the Alola region together with humans, but the Fox Pokemon moved to the snowy mountain peaks to avoid the normal habitats of other Pokemon, and thus it ended up taking on this form.

These Alolan Vulpix live on high mountains that remain covered in snow year-round. They live in small packs of two to five individuals, helping one another survive.

Alolan Vulpix can freeze anything solid by expelling breath at a temperature of −58 degrees Fahrenheit (−50° C) from its mouth. It doesn’t fare well in the heat, but when the temperature gets too high, it produces ice from its tail to lower the surrounding temperature.

Alolan Ninetales

Alola NinetalesFox Pokemon
Type: Ice/Fairy
Height: 3’07”
Weight: 43.9 lbs.
Ability: Snow Cloak

Alolan Ninetales live on a snowy peak that is revered in the Alola region as a holy mountain. They are treated as sacred emissaries, and people meet them with awe and fear. This Pokemon’s personality is extremely gentle, and at times it has helped humans who seem to be in distress. However, it shows no mercy at all to anyone or anything that dares to damage its territory!

The Alolan Ninetales is able to produce ice crystals from the fur that covers its body. It can use these ice crystals to block attacks, or it can form balls of ice with them, which it fires like bullets at opponents. The power of these ice missiles is great enough to pulverize rock!

Alolan Sandshrew

Alola SandshrewMouse Pokemon
Type: Ice/Steel
Height: 2’04”
Weight: 88.2 lbs.
Ability: Snow Cloak

Sandshrew have historically lived in desert areas. But the frequent eruptions of nearby volcanoes drove the Sandshrew to abandon the desert and migrate to snowy mountains, where they took on this form.

Sandshrew’s body changed to adapt to the harsh environment of the snowy mountains. The Alolan Sandshrew has a shell of ice covering its skin, which is like hard steel. It excels defensively, but it lacks flexibility and can’t curl its body into a ball like a Ground-type Sandshrew can.

Its heavy weight makes the Alolan Sandshrew slower than a normal Sandshrew, but the claws on its hands and feet allow it to move across ice without slipping. When it wants to move quickly, it uses its stomach to slide across the ice like a curling rock.

Alolan Sandslash

Alola SandslashMouse Pokemon
Type: Ice/Steel
Height: 3’11”
Weight: 121.3 lbs.
Ability: Snow Cloak

The Alolan Sandshrew of the snowy mountains evolve into Alolan Sandslash with spiny backs that are covered in ice. Thanks to their icy coating, these spines are large and sharp. Alolan Sandslash hide themselves in the snow when strong enemies appear, leaving only their needles exposed and ready for business.

The weight of the ice that covers its body makes these Alolan Sandslash heavier than normal Sandslash, and this causes them to be slower. Yet in snow fields and on ice, they move by creating a path with their claws, and so they’re able to move with swiftness.

The sprays of snow kicked up by Alolan Sandslash’s movements are so beautiful that many photographers head for the snowy peaks to capture the moment. However, Sandslash live deep in the mountains, and there is great danger of becoming stranded, so it’s forbidden to climb the mountains without permission.

Oricorio (Pom-Pom Style)

Oricorio_Pom PomStyleDancing Pokemon
Type: Electric/Flying
Height: 2’00”
Weight: 7.5 lbs.

Oricorio changes its form by sipping the nectar of certain flowers. Since it has four different forms—the same as the number of islands in Alola—it would seem that different Oricorio live on each of the islands.

The Pom-Pom Style Oricorio is very friendly toward people, and it uses dancing to encourage Trainers who are feeling glum. When it dances, its feathers are charged with static electricity. It can attack with these charged feathers, and sometimes it unleashes a powerful electric shock.

Oricorio has the new Dancer Ability that no other Pokemon has had before. If another Pokemon in the field uses a dancing move, then Oricorio will be able to use the same move immediately afterward, thanks to its Dancer Ability.

Revelation Dance is a move that only Oricorio can learn, and its type changes based on Oricorio’s current style.

The Baile Style Oricorio is very passionate, and power fills its body when it dances. It sends downy fluff flying during its intense dances. By igniting this fluff, it can unleash a fiery dance attack.

The Pa’u Style Oricorio acts at its own pace, which sometimes makes it difficult to deal with. It sharpens its spirited moves through dance, which increases its psychic power. It’s said that this dance expresses its gratitude to the guardian deity Pokemon.

Oricorio has the new Dancer Ability that no other Pokemon has had before. If another Pokemon in the field uses a dancing move, then Oricorio will be able to use the same move immediately afterward, thanks to its Dancer Ability.

Mudbray

MudbrayDonkey Pokemon
Type: Ground
Height: 3’03”
Weight: 242.5 lbs.
Ability: Own Tempo / Stamina
Evolves into: Mudsdale

Mudbray could once be found all over the world, but it was overhunted and ended up on the verge of extinction. It’s said that the Alola region is the only place in the world where Mudbray can still be found in the wild.

Mudbray boasts superhuman strength—a surprise, considering its small body. Mudbray can carry loads up to 50 times its own weight on its back or dragging behind it.

Mudbray loves playing in the mud. It’s easy to live in harmony with this Pokemon, as long as you provide an environment where it can play in the mud. If it can’t frolic in the mire, however, Mudbray will become stressed and may stop listening to orders.

Minior

Minior_2Minior_1Meteor Pokemon
Type: Rock/Flying
Height: 1’00”
Weight: 88.2 lbs.
Ability: Shields Down

Minior are formed in the stratosphere and live by absorbing the detritus around them. When they’ve consumed a large quantity of particles, their bodies become heavy, and they fall toward the planet’s surface. Minior has a hard and heavy outer shell with a core inside it. The Meteor Pokemon seems to be made in such a way that if its shell breaks, it becomes lighter and can deal out quick attacks.

When its shell breaks, the core in its center is revealed. You won’t know what color will appear until this happens!

Minior has the new Shields Down Ability, which no other Pokemon has had before. With the Shields Down Ability, it will have excellent defensive capabilities as long as its shell is intact. It will also be protected from status conditions. But when its HP drops below half, its shell will break, and it will change to a form better suited to attacking.

Gumshoos

GumshoosStakeout Pokemon
Type: Normal
Height: 2’04”
Weight: 31.3 lbs.
Ability: Stakeout / Strong Jaw
Evolves from: Yungoos

Gumshoos’s method of targeting prey is the exact opposite of Yungoos’s strategy. While Yungoos prowls around, Gumshoos stakes out its prey’s usual routes and waits patiently for it to come by.

Gumshoos has a tenacious personality, which is why it targets one prey for so long without wavering. But when the sun goes down, it runs low on stamina, falling asleep right on the spot. Gumshoos can withstand a great deal of hunger. It’s able to stay perfectly still while waiting for its prey, keeping watch without eating a thing.

Fomantis

FomantisSickle Grass Pokemon
Type: Grass
Height: 1’00”
Weight: 3.3 lbs.
Ability: Leaf Guard
Evolves into: Lurantis

Fomantis is nocturnal, and it performs photosynthesis while it sleeps during the day by spreading out its leaves in all directions. Because of the danger of staying in the same location two days in a row, Fomantis begins its search for the next day’s spot as soon as the sun sets.

For Fomantis, photosynthesis is not just a source of energy—it is a necessity to achieve the strength and brilliant coloration of its evolved form. Photosynthesis is precious to Fomantis, and it will fiercely attack those who get in the way of that process.

Fomantis excel at long-range attacks like Razor Leaf and Solar Beam. Solar Beam is indeed a powerful move, but since it uses up the energy that the Pokemon has stored through photosynthesis, Fomantis rarely uses it.

Lurantis

LurantisBloom Sickle Pokemon
Type: Grass
Height: 2’11”
Weight: 40.8 lbs.
Ability: Leaf Guard
Evolves from: Fomantis

Lurantis draws opponents near to itself with its flowerlike appearance and aroma—and then it takes them down. It’s said to be the most gorgeous of all Grass-type Pokemon, due to its brilliant coloration and elegant moves. Lurantis’s appearance is maintained through detailed grooming. It will trust a Trainer who does a good job of caring for it, but it will apparently have a difficult time growing closer to a lazy Trainer.

Lurantis can learn Solar Blade, a move that releases a blade-shaped beam to mince up its foes. The blade is so sharp it is said it can slice a rock in half! Solar Blade is a move that no Pokemon has been able to learn before. With Solar Blade, Lurantis absorbs energy from the sun on the first move and then unleashes a powerful attack on the second turn. Lurantis is the Totem Pokemon of Lush Jungle, the site of an Akala Island trial. It will overwhelm trial-goers with the powerful combos it unleashes with the Pokemon allies it calls.

Salandit

salandit.jpg
The Toxic Lizard Pokemon
Type: Poison / Fire
Height: 2’00”
Weight: 10.6 lbs.
Ability: Corrosion

Salandit emits toxic gas, together with flames, from the base of its tail. This poisonous gas has a sweet smell, and anyone who unknowingly breathes it in will become dizzy. Salandit is not a very powerful Pokemon, but its cunning nature allows it to battle fiercely by throwing its opponents off balance.

Salandit females not only release toxic gases, they can also emit pheromones that attract males of all species, including Pokemon and humans. Inhaling these pheromones may cause opponents to be controlled by Salandit’s will.

Salandit has the Corrosion Ability, a new Ability that no other Pokemon has possessed before. With the Corrosion Ability, it becomes possible to inflict the Poisoned status condition even on Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon.

Bounsweet

BounsweetFruit Pokemon
Type: Grass
Height: 1′00″
Weight: 7.1 lbs.
Ability: Leaf Guard / Oblivious

Because it exudes a delicious smell from its entire body, Bounsweet is popular with Pokemon and people of the Alola region. Bounsweet’s scent has a calming effect on humans, so many people let them live inside their homes as a sort of air freshener. Unfortunately, it’s sometimes swallowed whole by Pokemon drawn to its aroma.

When running away from other Pokemon, Bounsweet flees danger by skipping along the ground. Since its bouncy movements don’t convey to others that it’s actually in desperate flight, no one ever comes to its aid.

When attacked by enemies, it drives them off by rotating the calyx on its head. The downside is how dizzy it gets afterward!

Bewear

BewearStrong Arm Pokemon
Type: Normal/Fighting
Height: 6’11”
Weight: 297.6 lbs.
Ability: Fluffy/Klutz

When Bewear is acting in a friendly fashion, just swinging its arms around, you must never dare to approach it carelessly. It is acknowledged to be a dangerous Pokemon, even within the Alola region. You may see warning signs posted near places it resides.

When Bewear grows fond of its Trainer, it may show that feeling in a fond embrace—but the force of that hug is tremendous! Trainers must teach these Pokemon how to restrain their strength when showing affection.

Bewear may have the Fluffy Ability, a new Ability that no Pokemon has ever possessed before. The Fluffy Ability halves the damage taken from attacks that make direct contact, but in return it also doubles the damage taken from Fire-type moves.

Some wild Bewear use amazing martial-arts moves. Apparently the Pokemon learn these moves by watching Black Belts practicing when they go out to train in the woods.

Bewear’s arms and legs are strong and highly developed. Its powerful spine enables it to lift objects weighing a ton or more. It loves to give crushing bear hugs—a tight hug from this Pokemon’s arms will split anything at all in two!

Comfey

ComfeyPosy Picker Pokemon
Type: Fairy
Height: 0′4″
Weight: 0.7 lbs.
Ability: Flower Veil / Triage

Comfey picks flowers and always carries them around. It makes a ring of blossoms and spreads oil from its body on it, which changes the flowers so they emit a soothing fragrance. It has a habit of giving these flower rings to those it’s fond of. The aroma can soothe both itself and its allies. Comfey also helps with the treatment of people and Pokemon at Pokémon Centers and hospitals, thanks to its aroma.

When attacked by other Pokemon, it throws its flowers at them to create an opening, and then it either flees or strikes back.

Comfey can have the new Triage Ability, an Ability that no other Pokemon has had before. With the Triage Ability, this Pokemon’s restorative moves gain the highest priority in battle.

Mudsdale

MudsdaleDraft Horse Pokemon
Type: Ground
Height: 8′02″
Weight: 2028.3 lbs.
Ability: Own Tempo / Stamina

Mudsdale is known for its powerful body as well as its emotional fortitude, which keeps it from being agitated by anything. It never cries out, no matter what kind of trouble it’s in, and it defeats its opponents with a single powerful blow. Its legs are coated in protective mud, and the weight of this coating increases the force of its kicks. One kick, and a car is a pile of scrap!

Mudsdale’s running speed is not too swift, but it has excellent power and stamina. It can carry on for three days and three nights despite dragging loads of over 10 tons!

When Mudsdale gallops in earnest, the power of each hoof-clop can dig out huge holes, even in asphalt. Mudsdale is forbidden to run on some of Alola’s public roads.

Mudsdale can have the new Stamina Ability, an Ability that no other Pokemon has had before. With the Stamina Ability, this Pokemon’s Defense goes up by 1 when it’s hit by an attack.

Height: 0’08”
Weight: 1.5 lbs.
Ability: Disguise

Mimikyu lives its life completely covered by its cloth and is always hidden. People believe that anybody who sees its true form beneath the cloth will be stricken with a mysterious illness. People in the Alola region are convinced that you must never try to peek beneath its covering. Mimikyu’s health fails when it’s bathed in the rays of the sun, so it prefers to stick to dark places. It’s rumored that the reason it covers itself with a cloth is to avoid sunlight.

The rising popularity of Pikachu-styled merchandise around 20 years ago is the reason that Mimikyu makes itself look like Pikachu. In fact, this Pokemon is dreadfully lonely, and it thought it would be able to make friends with humans if only it looked like Pikachu.

Mimikyu has the Disguise Ability, a new Ability that no Pokemon has ever before possessed. The Disguise Ability allows it to escape damage from an enemy’s attack just one time, and then its appearance changes.

Wimpod

WimpodTurn Tail Pokemon
Type: Bug/Water
Height: 1′08″
Weight: 26.5 lbs.
Ability: Wimp Out

Wimpod have a cowardly nature and are wary of noises and sudden movements. If you approach them in a group, they’ll immediately run off. When Wimpod feel threatened, they spit out a poisonous liquid. The stench of this toxic fluid signals others that danger is near. Despite their extreme cowardice, their curiosity leads Wimpod to approach people or Pokemon that are standing still.

Wimpod eat and store anything that they find fallen on the ground. They also scavenge any garbage that’s been dropped in the sea, so they’re highly valued as cleaners. They sometimes carry pearls or other valuable items, so humans or Pokemon like Murkrow may target them.

Wimpod has the new Wimp Out Ability, an Ability that no other Pokemon has had before. With the Wimp Out Ability, if this Pokémon’s HP drops below half in battle, it will run away or swap out for another Pokemon.

Pikipek
The Woodpecker Pokemon
Type: Normal / Flying
Height: 1’00”
Weight: 2.6 lbs.
Ability: Keen Eye / Skill Link

Pikipek can strike 16 times a second with its beak. These strikes are powerful enough to not only drill through hard wood but even shatter stone. The noises made by their blows can signal others. Some of these signals have been identified as warning signals and greetings among allies. Pikipek Trainers have grown to recognize them as well.

These Pokémon drill holes in trees and store food in the holes. They also like small, glittering objects and will tuck them away in their food stores, too. It’s often said, “Something lost, something missed, check inside the Pikipek nest.”

Pikipek will attack distant opponents by zipping seeds at them. These shots have enough strength to embed the seeds in tree trunks.

YungoosYungoos
The Loitering Pokemon
Type: Normal
Height: 1’04”
Weight: 13.2 lbs.
Ability: Stakeout / Strong Jaw

Yungoos is a big eater that is never satisfied. The majority of its long body is given over to its stomach, and its digestion is swift, so it’s always hungry. It has strong fangs, so it can crush and consume the hardest of objects.

Each Yungoos chooses its own particular route for searching out prey. It stalks along this route searching for food until it’s exhausted, at which point it drops and sleeps wherever it may be. It’s thought that these Pokémon decide their routes based on safety, so that there’s no risk in falling asleep at any time.

Yungoos is not a Pokémon that is native to the Alola region. It was brought to the region to help deal with the explosive population of a certain other Pokémon, and now Yungoos are commonly seen around the Alola region.

Some Yungoos have an Ability that no other Pokémon discovered has previously had. This Ability is known as Stakeout. With the Stakeout Ability, this Pokémon’s moves can deal twice the normal damage to any Pokémon that switch in or enter the field mid-battle.

Since this Pokémon is so common in the Alola region, it’s easy to catch one. But this Pokémon has a terrible temper when it’s hungry—and it demands a whopping amount of food.

GrubbinGrubbin
The Larva Pokemon
Type: Bug
Height: 1’04”
Weight: 9.7 lbs.
Ability: Swarm

Grubbin relies on its sturdy jaw as a weapon in battle and as a tool for burrowing through the earth. Grubbin loves electricity, which is why it can be found near power plants and substations. By wrapping tree branches in the sticky threads that it spews from its mouth, Grubbin can swing around like an actor on suspension wires!
